SUNDAY, AUGUST 14, 2005 potluck -
Guest Speaker - GLENN RAMBACH of THIRD ORBIT POWER SYSTEMS of Reno, Nevada "A Technology Based Company Working To Change The World One Kilowatt At A Time." Glenn will be enlightening us on fuel cells and demonstrating a small working fuel cell system he shared with us at the end of last meeting. You may view Glenn's powerpoint presentation HERE.
HOV lane usage has been approved for select hybrids in the state of California. If you own a Prius, Civic Hybrid or an Insight (2005 excluded) you qualify for HOV lane use. Please see links in the news section for an application. Do not drive in the HOV lanes until your decal arrives. Cost is $8. Currently decals must be affixed to the rear quarter panels. PriusClub San Diego will be joining with Orange County and San Francisco clubs to request that side decals be affixed to the rear quarter windows in order to avoid paint damage.
Those present received handouts on how to disable the lock on the Nav screens in order to allow passengers to input Nav data.
